Audio: Residents’ thoughts on reopening Riverview

The occurrence of people diagnosed with mental illness in Vancouver has increased 23 per cent since the closure of Riverview Mental Hospital in 2012, according to the Vancouver police.

“Riverview was closed after a gradual shut-down over 10 years, with a goal of moving towards within-community treatment such as group homes,” according to CTV website.
