Vancouver citizens pack Victory Square to pay their respects

Neither could the cold or crowds stopped Vancouverites from pouring into Victory Square for the Remembrance Day ceremony and parade on Nov. 11.

Once the ceremony concluded, the shoulder-to-shoulder crowds moved to the streets where they watched as veterans young and old passed by. While some moved slower than others, all were met with applause and cheers. As the parade wound down, those who remained met at the base of the memorial cenotaph, where onlookers placed their poppies on the wreaths laid for the veterans.
